I am done, but when I got stuck, I just let everyone free until the quest was triggered! Then, I had to track down all the characters that were roaming around. Probably won't do that again!

This is why I pave over all the streets in my town with regular pavement when an update hits. It's time-consuming and annoying to do and then undo when I've completed all the quests, but the amount of time and aggravation it saves me in searching for characters makes it worthwhile. (When there are no streets, all free characters go to Squidport.)

Just a note Marge needs to be free for Up in Smoke Part 3 +1 Thanks, I'll add that now. I had all my characters free, and she didn't have a task, so I wasn't aware she was needed.

I think I'm going to experiment with this in my least watery town (my first and original town). Part of what I really like about the water is the bridge effect from the roads, so aesthetically, I just couldn't do this in my towns with more water. But I'm bored and have nothing better to do. Hmmmm...this may be fun...

Hmmmm...this may be fun... I don't like to leave my realistic-looking main town streetless for long, so I'm forever getting rid of and restoring streets around updates. But my plan dor my 2nd town, when I finally get around to designing it for real. is to have minimal or no streets. A Bad Example does these really cool patterns of developed and undeveloped land in his towns; I lack the patience to do anything requiring quite that much planning, but it has made me realize that not having streets opens up a world of design possibilities.

lakooo ...I just removed most (but not all) my roads in my original SF and I HATE IT so f***ing much! Lol! But I'm going to leave it a bit and see what my people do. I think what A Bad Example does is very cool as well, but I am not creative in that way. I thought I might try this for the mysterious upcoming Halloween event...yeah...it prob won't last even until tomorrow night!

Any chance I can get the link to @ A Bad Example's town?
