Breaking news! An attempted murder has taken place within our forum! The victim, well-known and well-hated millionaire Charles Montgomery Burns, owner of the Springfield Nuclear Power plant, was found barely hanging onto his life. Burns was rushed to Springfield Memorial Hospital where he is listed as being in critical condition. Details about the crime are sketchy at best. Local authorities are baffled as to what happened. There is a long list of suspects as everyone in town has a reason to want Burns eliminated. There were no witnesses to the crime and the forensics team has yet to identify the weapon used. The scene of the crime is also in question as police detectives mistakenly contaminated numerous buildings while searching for clues. We need your help to figure out this mystery! Here’s how you can help. Be sure to read this carefully as the criminal is still at large and may attempt to harm those trying to apprehend him/her!- Pictured below is our list of possible suspects, weapons and crime scenes.
- Authorities have given us clues that tell us the suspects/weapons/locations that have been eliminated. Remember, the clues tell you what is NOT a correct answer.
- Once you’ve formulated a GUESS, post it here in this thread. Authorities will review your evidence and will post another clue they have uncovered if you are wrong. You will NOT be penalized for incorrect GUESSES.
- Your guess should be formatted this way: "I guess that Lisa committed the crime with the saxophone in the Springfield Retirement Castle."
- Be patient! Only one GUESS by any member is allowed at a time. If you post another GUESS before the authorities give a reply, the criminal will automatically come after you and you will become another casualty and thus eliminated from the game. The criminal will also remove your post to eliminate the evidence.
- No consecutive guesses. You must wait for at least one other member to post a guess before you can go again. This rule does not apply if you want to make an accusation.
- Authorities are busy trying to solve the case too, so they may be slow to review and respond to your guesses. Be patient!
- In order to solve the case, you must ACCUSE the correct suspect and name the correct weapon and crime scene. False ACCUSATIONS will give the real criminal the chance to come after you and you will become another casualty.
- You must guess at least one time during the game before you are eligible to make an accusation. Failure to adhere to this rule will result in immediate elimination, regardless of whether the accusation is correct or incorrect. There will also be no clarification on whether or not the accusation was correct.
- Accusations should be made using this format: "I accuse Lisa of committing the crime with the saxophone in the Springfield Retirement Castle."
- You can make an accusation at any time, even if a guess is in play, as long are you are eligible to make an accusation.
- The first person to ACCUSE the correct suspect and name the correct weapon and crime scene will win this wonderful badge worthy of Sherlock Holmes himself!
You may only win ONE game of Whodunnit. However, you may still play the game and make guesses, but you cannot make an accusation. If you make an accusation and you already have a Sherlock Badge, you will lose your badge and be ineligible to play the rest of the games for the day. You will be able to play and earn your badge back the following week. So grab your clue list and your magnifying glass, and let the investigation commence! CASUALTIES TO DATE:C. Okay, missing Part II was due to my incompetence, but MIDNIGHT?! How dare the killer be inconsiderate enough to kill during my sleepy-time!

Ahhh Eliza Simpson, I lurve that you keep bringing these out to keep us entertained. This is just for entertainment, right? Its not just a perverse scheme to determine which of us are masochists willing to play time after time, is it? Or are you trying to figure out the most meticulous and/or logical of us so that we can band together as a quartet and tour the continent in a skeezy van with a somewhat talking dog, solving "mysteries" by running through hallways with a ridiculous number of doorways? Oh my, that's it, isn't it? For the record, I'm not cool with either wearing an ascot or getting high with animals.
