Dr. Monroe, I need an appointment. I think I'm suffering from some out of body experience. I'm not sure what I should do, I think I'm going a little crazy and having a break from reality. I know I should be studying for my examinations by reading 180 books, but I have the constant urge to come on this website and participate in this forum. I am confused, which makes me more crazy, reading 180 books, or wishing to participate more heavily in the virtual world TSTO life? Can you help me Doctor, do you have an appointment time for me? Or, am I just Insane?

Dr. Monroe, Miles Monroe. It has been a week, and I have not heard anything back from you? Can I get an appointment? Can you just do an over the phone diagnosis? Am I clinically insane? Am I a split personality where one persona is legally SANE (wanting to be on this forum) while the other is INSANE because he willfully chose to enter a program that has him reading 180 books in 6 months? Or is the other way around? I NEED HELP. Dr. Monroe, where are you?

Attention TSTOForum, Dr. Monroe has decided to use up his eight weeks of paid vacation in order to attend to his family during the holidays. Even though we have discovered that he is most likely going to Tahiti, we've decided to let this slide and allow him to use the premise of "going to visit his family" as his reason for the vacation. We're sorry for any inconvenience, but all appointments will resume after the holiday season. Until then, the waiting room will be closed, locked, and under renovation for its grand reopening. Well, well it looks as if I have quite a bit of unanswered mail to attend to.
I am finally able to take a short break from my taxing job as a member of the United States Congress where I spend my days making up words about the internet, looking up cliche catch phrases taken from popular movies to use the next time I take the floor, mentoring my interns on how to write a well crafted letter from "constituents" whose political beliefs most mirror my own, practice my "shocked face" for those moments where I am accused of promoting the interests of the wealthy elite in exchange for campaign finances and luxury vacations, and studying the art of zen bowel clenching for those times when I feel a filibuster is in order. Ah bureaucracy, it's a tough job, but someone's got to do it.
So see I have not been on vacation, I have been working.
Now let's see if there is anyone around who might be interested in a chat.

It also appears we have yet another group of castaways from EA who joined us for our never ending 3 hour tour, is there anyone left over there? Who will rally to help them finish counting to 1000. That action was riveting and I am anticipating a surprise ending.

I thought he'd be the first one in here, beating the door down for an appointment, after patiently waiting for 8 weeks I have buried my head in books concerning a segmented labor market, a dual labor market, a dual labor market: a critique, and the "homelessness" and anomie effects of modernity (including modernity, counter-modernity, and de-modernity). I haven't passed out (okay, maybe drifted off a few times), but I have gotten through more than 130 books and only have another 60 to go. so Dr. Monroe, as I have been such a good patient, patiently awaiting your return, am I Insane, merely having a temporary break from reality, or am I clinically sane? |

I must say though Dr. Monroe, after 8 weeks of being in your waiting room, I have determined that I must not be insane. I mean, what kind of insane person would would sit there for 8 weeks, read 130 books so they can get a job they truly enjoy doing - teaching. And if I have learned anything, it is that teachers are so well respected it makes the job a breeze |

Whoa, help! I think i see things! Is that real? Is the one and only doc back?  Since Dr. Monroe was on vacation I ran out of pills very quick. Well, I think I didn't read the note "only 1/day"... Was an interesting day! But then I had to get my pills from that guy in the back of my favorite pub. But there must've been something wrong. I have breasts now and love the bridget jones movies. |
