The Origin client has finally been updated to let you delete friends, if you are unable to do so in your game; and delete the pending friend requests. First, you need to download and install the application. Linz has posted a guide for doing this. - Go to Origin.
- Click Download Origin. This is located on the left side of the screen; and at the top right corner.
- You should go to a screen that lets you download the application appropriate for your system. Assuming you are using either Windows or a Mac. Click Download.
- If you are on a Mac, you will get a DMG file that you need to install.
- If you are on a PC, click on the installer executable to install the program.
- Launch the application, and sign in with your Origin ID.
- Close out the advertisement for an Origin game that is blocking the screen.
- On the menu bar is an option for Friends, click it and then show Friend list.
- For pending requests, there is now an option that says cancel friend request.
- To delete a friend, if you hover the mouse pointer over the friend, you will get a drop down arrow. Click this; and select unfriend from the list.
- Click unfriend in the confirmation box.
- Log out of the application when done.

Hmmmm....so I downloaded this, but it still didn't solve my particular problem. I have a neighbor who is at 15 and I would like to delete, but I can't find the town in my friends list. I downloaded the Origin program but still can't find that username! Anybody have any idea what I should do?

If someone has other games they registered before TSTO, it's possible their TSTO ID is different than thier Origon. You'll need to compare the list of friends that shows in your town to what shows in the application. The one that doesn't have a match will be it. If that doesn't work your options are to contact EA, or live with it. |

Woo-hoo! Been trying to work that out for ages and only just found this thread!! I know I'm a self-confessed bad neighbour but when I do have time to visit I'd like to be visiting people who actually play. Hasta la vista deadwood!  |

A Bad Example I followed your instructions, but when I ask for my list of friends all I get is this: "Oops. we can't connect you to your friends list or chat right now. Hang tight, we'll get you chatting with friends as soon as we can." I'll keep trying and might be lucky...eventually. I'd really like to delete some "invitations". Thanks! Edit: tried again on Monday and it worked! Thanks for your help.

I need to delete pending friends requests. Guess I have to break down and drag out the laptop. The laptop hates me. I'm not looking forward to it.
