I would have to say no. Mostly because it would have to sentamental value what so ever.

I think buying towns would be a good idea depending on purchase price which would most likely be determined by type and total amount of premium items in the town. I think being able to do this would be beneficial to newer players that will never be able to get all the past limited time items. If I was a newer player that did this, I'd have no intention of keeping the town "as is". I would tear it apart and create to my own design.
Just like people do with premium location property in big cities:
Step 1: Buy best town you can afford.
Step 2: Level it.
Step 3: Redesign.
Also, I remember hearing about people doing something similar to this in WOW. Building up characters, and then selling them off. This would be almost like that.

Not there town..but if I could, is buy there items.
I missed a few:
Kang(wouldn't spend money on donuts at the time)
3rd grave yard (wouldn't allow me to buy)
Whitch marge (wouldn't allow me to buy)
Duff car (when I came back the the game (after it was deleted), I missed the duff car buy one day!

Interesting question , but no I would't buy someoneelses town either. It just wouldn't be mine.  I don't ever think I will be finished with my town, but that's the fun of it. If it would be perfect it also would be boring ( not saying I'm not envying those really nice creations of others ) Interesting way you started this off. Just interesting.... No, don't think so. Where is the fun in that? But you probably planted some business ideas in some heads...Starting now new towns, selling them later to some newbies - I'm sure in a year or so they could be worth some money.
