Haha, it appears I tried to get a bit too clever and thought there was another hidden clue within the game, which caused me to jump the gun on my accusation. When Eliza Simpson said "Please feel free to visit them at Springfield Hospital where they are sharing room 629," I immediately questioned the purpose of the number 629. Was it random? Was there a personal meaning? Was 629 somehow meaningful to The Simpsons? Or was it a clue?! At the time, the 6th character, the 2nd weapon, and the 9th location were all still available, and I came up with Smithers, Extend-O-Glove, and Android's Dungeon. I should stop watching Sherlock and Elementary... I'm starting to think there are clues in everything. Here's the real reason: Since a bunch of people here are immature, she added a 2 in there so the number wouldn't be 69.

Just because I'm in P&C doesn't mean I can't play does it? I don't know the answer I swear!

I went from thinking I was pretty clever to now feeling like I'm an idiot. I'd probably be a bit sad about that if I weren't so used to it being such a daily occurrence. Wait, okay, now I feel sad.

Eliza did mention that the killer was partial to good manners

Congratulations on your brilliant deduction/clever jumping in at last minute, geco! That was a fun game, thanks Eliza! (if not a bit stressful) C'mon, I had Marge and the sax from almost the beginning of this hours ago Indeed, and than you cleverly held off until we all ended up in the hospital before finishing the job. Well played!

If you have any suggestions on how the game can be improved or run more efficiently, please feel free to send me a PM. So until Wednesday, keep your sleuthing minds nimble!

Can't wait for Wednesday! I'm so sorry I missed this past game. I would suggest moving this to Forum Games, announcing a specific start time (perhaps varied from week to week to accommodate different time zones), and starting a new thread for each week (with the date in the title), so we can easily find the clues for that week and not have to search 15 pages through old games

Aye a time indicator would be handy. I slept through the whole thing and when I saw the start of this thread this morning, I was really excited until I realised it was already over and I missed it all

I slept through the whole thing and when I saw the start of this thread this morning, I was really excited until I realised it was already over and I missed it all Also, please add a text version to the images (especially the cleared evidences). My work (as it were) blocks all the images, so I wouldn't be able to partake. But given how intense it was to follow this (with only about 10 people playing), work might not be the best time to do this for me Of course that raises a whole time-zone issue for people, as evening in one place is not evening in another. This would get insane with larger numbers of players. Eliza Simpson would probably end up in the hospital herself along with all the simultaneously posting guessers.

I feel fortunate to have stumbled on this contest at just the right time -- this was so much fun but now that the cat is out of the bag this is going to get crazy competitive. Eliza, you are going to have to have a lot of help to keep up next time

These are all great suggestions, everyone! We will definitely remember to add text for the members who can't see pictures.
Unfortunately we have no control over when the killer will strike so there is no set game time. However, the killer will appear weekly and the times will vary, so hopefully everyone will get a chance to play. Also, depending on how busy our police department and forensics teams are, evidence might not get cleared so quickly all the time so the mystery may last a few days.
The game thread will remain in screens and contests because that's P&R territory, but when the game is live, it was be marked as an announcement that can be viewed from all sub forums.
The countdown begins until the next mystery...
