I'm pulling this from the EA board as it was one of my favorite threads. It's a very simple question yes or no on dead characters?
There are four main people this poll is for.
Maude Flanders
Mona Simpson (homers mom)
Bleeding Gums Murphy
Frank Grimes
I am on the side of no. Because I feel the episodes that these people died were classic and very important to the growth of the show. Don't get me wrong I love all of them but I don't think this game should kill the wonderful history of the simpsons.
That is my point of view. How about you?

To justify my vote (and I have no idea what's been said on the other board about it) I would like to see them introduced for Halloween. Just...I want them dead. Dead and moldy and, preferably, smelling like cheese.

I would only like it if they come back in a Halloween update as ghosts. Blue, semitransparent, cliche ghost stuff. I think that would be cool, but otherwise I think they should be to rest in peace.

Dead and moldy and, preferably, smelling like cheese. I would have no problem with ghost or zombie versions of them next time Halloween. I just don't want them showing up after being dead and acting as if they never died. |

I don't care as an old comic book reader, no one stays dead. The only continuum I want is daily playability. Could care less about dead characters running around a perfectly running game.

Just to be clear as you voted "no", should ea remove dr. Nick as he was supposedly killed in the simpsons: the movie?
I think all the dead characters should be available (maybe as premium?), where each person decides to use them or not. (Who could resist a task for Maude Flanders : get shot at by tshirt cannon-8hours?)

I was waiting for the Dr nick thing He says bye e erybody I'm the movie then is still alive on the show after the movie. So in my eyes he isn't dead. Now those people at the top died in a show and we're never brought back other then a flash back show. |

I'm against dead characters appearing in this game, as well. And as much I would like them, I also feel that the characters voiced by the late Phil Hartman (Troy McClure, Lionel Hutz, and a couple of others) shouldn't make an appearance.
There's so many other good characters to add first, anyway.

moleman has been killed a lot of times... yet, he's in the game.
i could care less if they bring back dead characters. i always liked murphy and mona, maude not so much.
so yea, no problem if they come back.

What about Dr. Marvin Monroe? One episode claimed he was "dead", but we never actually saw the character die. And he came in handy whenever a psychiatrist was needed. Monroe was also the star of one of my favorite episodes (from the first season where they all shock each other).
Maude Flanders has appeared, but more as a ghost or "angel in heaven" form. Mona only in flashbacks. While I hate waiting until Halloween, if that's the decision, then so be it - I'd love to see all dead characters as ghosts as opposed to random zombies (although squishing them was a LOT of fun - certainly brought out the kid in me).

Fat tony is dead but that is not the fat tony we have.
Fat tony died so fit tony his twin took over. Then fit tony became fit fat tony then just fat tony. So the fat tony walking around our towns never died.
Also I really hope people voteing yes are not voteing that because they want ghost ones. I would put ghost/zombie ones in the no poll.
Picking yes you are saying you want these people back to life as if they never died on the show.

Those 4 are relatively minor characters (true, they might have had a major impact, but they really weren't big players.
I'd really rather have bigger characters (Lenny, Carl, Patty, Selma, Jimbo, etc) brought i long before they need to start plumbing the depths of those dead folks.

I'm just saying in an episode they listed him as a dead character. The fact that he returns (along with Dr. Nick) suggests that we can have live/dead characters all we want.  Mona was one of my favorite characters. One of the best episodes was her initial return (and Homer sitting alone as she had to leave again - one of the most touching endings). But having a silent Mona or Maude or any other character is the only option, then have them back as ghosts. Edited to say that in in way should these "dead" characters trump some key live characters. There are so many important characters remaining that I'd rather seem them back before we bring back the dead.  |
