Photo-shop Challenge: Triptych - A Day in the Life of HomerWe've considered renaming the Photo Challenge to: That Thing We Do Each Week, That Not Many Participate In, But We Do Anyway Because It Amuses Us (TTWDEWTNMPIBWDABIAU), but that was a bit long even as an acronym. Instead we took some inspiration from our new Springfield Museum of Fine Arts and have gone a little more artsy fartsy (emphasis on fartsy). Introducing the: Photo- shop Challenge. We hope to add a new layer to the Photo Challenge by adding some fun editing (photo-shop, or other such program). This week we have the Triptych Challenge. What's a Triptych you ask? Typically it's a series of 3 pictures with a common background, but with different subjects in each. As illustrated here: So what we are looking for this week is three sections of your town that connect in the back ground, but have Homer doing something different in the foreground. Again, as illustrated here: Not so good with photo-shop, and cropping, and cutting, and pasting, and reposting, etc? Not to worry. We have a crack team (insert your own crack joke here) ready to help you out. Just post your three pictures here and like magic they will be transformed into a triptych. Of course if you can do it on your own, well that would be swell. Yes, it's still a contest but with more of a subjective point scale: POINTS Judges are looking for: - A story without words. We want the panels to "speak for themselves" no descriptions please- Clarity of subject, can we identify what Homer is doing in each panel? - Flow of background - Creative extras, such as other characters, props or, design elements To up the ante, we have a real world prize: The developers of AutoStitch, an app to stitch your photos together (a la your whole Springfield), have given us a Promo code to award this week's winner. The code will allow you to download the latest version of their app for FREE! (That's like a $1.99 value, or in terms you will understand: 9 donuts!) So good luck everyone.

I like this idea, might enter later when I test my idea. Is that solely an iPhone app or does it work on the iPad too? I would check myself but... yeah.

Hahaha I have an android device so the real world prize is no good... (not that I'd win with my entry...) However winning on the internet would be a dream come true.

Is that what you're after? or does the background need to be more connected? Bigger PictureThis is a great entry! Thanks! Ideally, the background should be a bit more connected (though still 3 separate pictures). The dimensions of the pictures are not relevant, so you could slice them down to work. If you were inclined. And again, there are great people around the forum who may help...cue Abigail

If you want to line it up better yourself then you need to make the image how you would do a panorama and then cut it into the three parts. If that makes sense.

Are we allowed to edit our entries? I'm thinking of trying to make mine look a little better, if possible...

Homer goes to Hollywood I know that I am not allowed to explain my entry but would like to point out that Kang and Marge are there for a reason and do not just randomly appear in the picture. Edit: A slightly tidied up version

Are we allowed to edit our entries? I'm thinking of trying to make mine look a little better, if possible... Hmmm. I think the rules are pretty clear, only one...oh wait, there aren't any rules about this. Dammit Andy, now I've got to go and make another rule. Though, on second thought, maybe I'll just let this one slide by. It'll just be between us, right? If word gets out I know who to blame...

Would you like me to delete my original post? I still can't believe I forgot to overlap the second pic properly...

I know I'm a pain in the arse, but I have to ask... are we allowed titles? You said no descriptions but Swanky has a title, so I assume those are okay?
