Great! You found us! Now what?
First off, a big warm welcome to you. We hope you enjoy your stay here, no matter how short or long. I wrote this brief guide to help get you situated and established here, and I hope you find it useful.  Step 1: Read all of the Rules and ToS
It is actually very important to read the rules and ToS. It can keep you out of a lot of trouble down the line. All of the rules can be found here. Keep in mind that this is a PG-13 forum. Also, the mods are pretty swift about removing ToS violations, so if you post something and before your page has time to reload it has poofed, just know the Mod Ninjas are watching.
Step 2: Show us Your Fake Face
To change your avatar, click on profile. Beside your display name (more on this in a moment) and above your username, you'll see "edit profile." Click this. From here, you can do all kinds of wonderful things. You'll see a variety of options for your avatar. The personal favorite of the forum seems to be the "Use Only Uploaded/Linked" option, which is option 2. An area to upload or link an avatar is in the right most column. Alternatively, you can create a ProBoards rendition of yourself in the lower most row of the left column, and select the first option, "use on your ProBoards avatar," to display this. Option 3 gives you a combination of the two, and option 4 gives you that blue guy that you started with. Hit save, and then get back to that screen. I'm going to tell you how to do other cool stuff. Step 3: Decide on a Display NameYou've got an avatar so we can all put a face to the name... Wait, that's your username! Let's get you a name. From the change avatar area, click "Personal." Ah, there's what we're looking for! Display name just so happens to be the first field here. You can use anything you like, as long as it sticks to the PG-13 guidelines. You don't have to pick a display name, if you don't want to. Before you finalize anything here, move on to the next step. Step 4: Location, Location, Location
Location is another field on this wonderful "personal" area we have found. You can give us a legitimate location, or you can make something up for us to giggle at. The choice is yours. Or, you can give us no location, and we can all assume you're talking to us from Pluto. Keep in mind, it is advised that you not get to specific with your location. Stay here, we've got two more thing to do. Step 5: Make a Signature
Signatures are wonderful things. The signature field can be found second to last on the "personal" tab. You can communicate about your game status like your level and such, you can brag about all of the wonderful guides you have written around the site, you can put a cute or funny image or GIF, or you can do nothing with your signature. Signatures can be something to remember you by, so if you want one, here is the place to put it. Now, we've got just one more thing to take care of here. Step 6: Tell Us About Your Rig
On the very last field of the "personal" tab is the option to select the device you play on. Again, totally optional, but it would be awesome if you let us know. We're done here. I'll let you explore and deal with the other areas of the edit profile arena, and I will eventually expand upon this guide to inform you of what everything actually is. Step 7: Get to Chatting
You've got a face, a name, a location, and a signature, now to get familiar with our super cool posting funtions. Now you are ready to get out there, say hello and introduce yourself, dive into the conversation about the game in the general game discussion, check out game guides, join in on some fun and games, or snuggle up with us on the couch to learn about our fascinating, or not so fascinating, lives! You'll be addicted to this place before you know it. |

I have just joined by a few days , I worked out the avatar and sig etc straight away before posting as it very n simple to use i have only just noticed this post I've been to busy noising about all the other sections and sub forums there soooo many things to look at/ into lol just like to say this was a very well thought out post and very informative |

How do you follow peeps, I can click follow but nada happens? Go into your Profile and you'll see a Following tab, it gives you a list of activity for those users you've chosen to follow. +1 |

If its a pic from your game yes take the pick then upload it to photobucket, imgur or what I use imageshack.com but look for the mobile version i use that even on my iPad its easier. Upload the pic there get the URL from the full size pic then copy and paste it here in a post and put it in between these tags [ img ] [ / img ] without all the spaces. So [ img ] your picture [ \ img ] again no spaces. |
