Maybe it's just me, but has anybody else's Swanky Fish and waterfall gone poof? I logged back into my game a bit ago and they're just gone. Neither is in my Inventory, and neither appears to be available to buy/place again, but my donut count is still down by 90. And closing/reopening the app, and logging out/in didn't help. Thought I'd see if anyone else is having this problem before I contact EA customer service... Damn. I lost my cooling towers and volcano lair randomly a week or so ago and I ended up deleting and reinstalling the app and that worked for me. Hope it does for you too. That indeed worked--it was my last-ditch effort at a fix. Glad I didn't have to contact EA Customer Service after all because even the people there who know what they're doing move at a glacial pace. (Probably because they have to do their own work plus that of all the incompetent ninnies that also EA employs.) Thanks for looking out, thejudd67. |

I assume, based on the previous 4 pages, that if you haven't bought the Swanky Fish Restaurant yet, you'll get the Springfield Falls after Lisa's 1 hour Kwik-E-Mart task. If you're like me and bought the Swanky Fish Restaurant first, we don't get the Falls prompt until later, maybe after the 5 hour tasks of Homer and Lisa eating at the Swanky Fish (or possibly later). If you haven't bought the Swanky Fish and still haven't gotten the Falls prompt after Lisa's Kwik-E-Mart task, then uhhh... I dunno. |

Why doesn't the falls connect seamlessly to existing water? I noticed what sellhigh378 did (earlier in this thread) but that would only seem to work for right-facing placement and my first choice is a left-facing placement. I am struggling with how to make the falls appear to feed my existing river (well, canal) structure. Revised about an hour later: If I put the falls up the other fork of the Springfield River (Canal?) the connection is obscured by the top of the Volcano Lair. I'll have to see what happens when the roof closes.

You should get Waterfall after Lisa finishes KEM no matter if you got SF or not, you just have to be patient and wait for Homer to start the dialogue.

Does anybody know HOW EA decides on which form of currency is needed for episode tie-in items? drawing straws, where the straw is assigned a currency type? Pick a number? Flip a coin? It makes no sense.

Anybody sent anybody else to the stinky sorry swanky fish? Just had a message for skinner to go there and know somebody else sent CBG. Though when he finished his task he wasn't asked to go in my SF.  Homer, Lisa, Skinner, CBG and Brockman all have a quest to go there. I didn't find anymore exclamation points. Thats the order I think. |

I hadn't built Swanky Fish yet when Lisa finished shopping at the KEM, but she didn't prompt me to build the falls. I had most but not all characters free at that time. All I got was two random tasks (Homer lounge in pool and Hank Scorpio proceed with project Aquarius). I don't have the falls (locked or otherwise) anywhere in the build menu either. |

Check your inventory. If you got Swanky Fish, right after Homer and Lisa's tasks it prompts the building of it in your inventory.

I am not really sure yet what to do with the swanky fish (for now just plopped it into mall area), but I love it and the waterfall. Nice little update.
I have enough money to buy skyscraper now, but it seems I need to invest in a lot of land now. Barely fit the new items in.

Hehe, the 'Don't these usually come out on Thursdays?' line made me giggle. exactly!!! i saw that and immediately thought of those dumb threads where people rant and complain when EA doesnt issue an update when they thought they cracked the code. "but i read the raw files and even though there was no date, that means its going to be on this date. thus sayeth the lord." baaahahahahahaha...well played EA, well played. Why doesn't the falls connect seamlessly to existing water? same problem, really bugged me that you cant make it connect to water. i had the perfect spot waiting and ready for it in my campground but really wanted to connect it. so i threw some reindeer out front and made it look like the falls is feeding my pond.  |

dougsbeard and josh4908 -- As I started visiting my neighbors, I saw the solution you have employed, which is to place the falls facing right (user orientation) and give the impression that the water takes a left turn behind the sign. I couldn't think of a way to do this if the falls were facing left.
I wanted the falls to feed my existing water system, and I couldn't employ the "left turn" solution without moving a lot of stuff, so I ended up using the Volcano Lair to hide the seam between the falls and the "river" -- I have pictures in the thread on "What Did You Do With."

Any guesses on how long the Swanky Fish will be available? Typically, the episode tie-ins arrive on Thursday and run until Mondays. Since this one came early, do you think it will last until next Monday or only until this Thursday's update? I kind of want to hold onto my donuts and see what WD brings.
