A combination of things finally, after three weeks, got me back into my game today: crankiness, persistence, having someone at EA assigned to my case who not only had a clue but also cared, and the magical magnificence that is joshhuffman. He is made entirely of rainbows and gumdrops, and if I were to ever have children, my firstborn would be named Josh, regardless of gender. |

I got plain locked out for a few days. No harpies, it just opened up my springfeild, and before it loaded, it crashed. lakooo, thanks for trying to do this. This is happening to me now and I'm freaking as it's so close to the Whacking Day event. I never have problems aside for the occasional crash at Christmas, now I can't open my town it just constantly crashes. I tried on two devices - neither worked. This happened about a week ago but a delete/reinstall worked. I tried to do that this time but still can't get in. What do I do?  |

4-7 days with a harp freeze. Then another day when I got it a second time.
Back around Halloween(?) I was locked out for a few days due to server issues/friend list crashing thing.

Those damn thanksgiving balloons gave me the lock out for 3 whole weeks. The worst ever! That's also how I ended up with 2 towns anyway. Had to do something to send away the withdrawal shakes. LOL. Also the reason why I don't have Fat Tony in my main town. TOTALLY SUCKS TOES.
I hope it never happens again. I do not want to go through that shits again.

I couldn't play for about a month before the Christmas update. My game would just crash before I had a chance to even tap anything. Never figured out a fix but since the Christmas update my game is generally okay, though I still get crashes pretty regularly. So in my case, it was just a matter of being patient. I hope you get to play soon, lakooo  |

They game would just shut down after 15 seconds or so, usually just enough time to see my springfield. I tried deleting the game and re-downloading it, but that proved extra painful, as the 15 second rule still held. The game had to redownload all the updates from the beginning (I don't know why some of them aren't hardcoded into the game when downloaded from the app store), and it would still crash every 15 seconds. If it was in the middle of one of the updates, it would have to start that one over. It took 2 hours to redownload and update the game and it didn't fix anything. I contacted EA, but by the time I heard back, the game had fixed itself (took about 24 hours). Never found out what happened. |

My kids' game was locked out for serval hours because of harpies. Had to wait til dad came home and rescued them with his iPhone 5. The longest I've been locked out is about 1.5 days during the Valentine fiasco.

Then test. Then another ten. Then test. Some people fix it with only deleting s few. I went ahead and just deleted 50. But maybe that wasn't necessary. |

5 days and counting! I'm losing my mind. I never realized how important this game was to my life (so sad and pathetic I know) I contacted EA 3 days ago and they are apparently working on it. Im trying to remain patient, but I admit every time I see my girlfriend of buddies playing I start to feel my rage building. I've tried everything i could find here and other places to no avail. The only thing I haven't tried is a factory reset.

Bummer lakooo, not good I think I've been fortunate (touch wood!!). Although my game did glitch and when recovered I'd lost 3 premium buildings, Barney's and the Try-N-Save which I rebought and Howard's Flowers which I can't |

jjohnsen420, have you tried searching for the symptoms of your particular glitch or starting a thread with the details? There are a bunch of different and fun ("fun") ways in which people get locked out of this game. Some of them can be circumvented without waiting months for a decent response from EA, but it depends on the issue. ETA: I see you've already started a couple threads below. Hopefully someone can help, given the details. I've been in your shoes. It sucks

I've been locked out since Sunday on my ipad. EA says they are aware of the issue & keep checking back for updates.

Woah, long time no see for this thread. Every now and then I get locked out with server issues, normally only a few hours though. The longest I've every been locked out was about 5 days, at last years Christmas update (I think this was server issues again). Being locked out isn't so bad normally, but when there's a limited/themed update on...  |

Its funny how ppl said over Halloween 2012 and Christmas. I know a lot had problems over Halloween 2013. I have only been locked out for 12-24 hours when everyone elkse was a few weeks ago. I play on a sony tablet, where I also can play playstation games on.

I'm starting this thread because I want to get some feedback from anyone who has been helped by EA. How long did it take? Were you compensated for lost time/content? Was lost content made available once you could play again? Also if you wouldn't mind you can include the cause of the problem as well. Don't let me down forum! And go..........
