They're saying the files are on the server and the update will come later today with the event actually starting tomorrow. Oh, and supposedly, it's the same boring as h**l format they've been using since EA basically gave up on the game eons ago.

After more than two years of not playing TSTO at all, I was in a nostalgic mood, so I reinstalled the game.
I was hoping to feel the same level of fun I did seven (!) years ago, but with the TSTO servers constantly kicking me out, the old feelings of frustration are dominant (sad to say).
Downloaded the current THOH update earlier today, and while it’s nice to see the eerie Halloween color palette again, no new quests or anything else have activated (even though every character is currently free).
It’s kind of sad that EA had never bothered to address the shortcomings TSTO had had since day one. I don’t have any regrets of missing more than two years of the game, as it looks like I didn’t miss much. (And what is with the ridiculous land tokens? Way to make the in-game cash absolutely worthless, EA! That sh*t absolutely blows my mind!)

These same-format events are everyone's punishment for complaining about the Wheel.

These same-format events are everyone's punishment for complaining about the Wheel. The wheel was the beginning of the end, as far as I’m concerned. After that infamous Easter event is when I stopped giving EA any more money. Completing an event should get you all of the special prizes offered. Saving up all those gold eggs, and then getting bupkis on the wheel (or more worthless pink or blue eggs) filled me with contempt. The first THOH and Christmas events are examples of how seasonal events should be done. |

Well my town is hideous being ringed by $1000 wailing walls but my bonus % has gone up 1200 and I'm probably not done. I mean, what else am I going to do with all my igc?

Well my town is hideous being ringed by $1000 wailing walls but my bonus % has gone up 1200 and I'm probably not done. I mean, what else am I going to do with all my igc? I’m on a self-chosen quest to make 1 Kwik e mart worth 1m XP. This has gone a long way to contributing to my quest. As I have a few billion in cash, I guess it’s just whether I run out of land first. |

I bought 10 rat trap trucks and got 3 bonut boxes (started at almost no xp). So at least I won't have ALL bad things to say about this event.
I mean, I already have 2k+ donuts from the glitch when they stopped doing levels but now I can lower my buy things standards so I don't get bored.

Why the hell cant we have a way to put all the characters into their Halloween jobs or Costumes, and the same for Christmas. There are what...like 400 characters now? Scrolling through the Town Hall to find everyone is ludicrous. Best I could manage for a group Halloween task was to have a bunch of people dumpster dive and eat zombie sandwiches. |
