Since this is the only section of the forum that gets any attention, you want this to be a place talk about anything, still encouraging posts about TSTO updates but not limited to that? I’m gonna leave everything how it is though so ppl can still post in the Couch or game sections if u want, but I won’t trip on off topic posts here as long nobody’s spamming or disrespecting anyone.
Of course if the general consensus is no or any other staff wanna jump in I have no problem forgetting all about this lol

Probably won't post again but just popped in to say a final hello good bye.
There isn't even a Halloween event this year. I personally think the game will meet it's end either this year or next, but who knows.

I personally think the game will meet it's end either this year or next, but who knows. There’s gotta be one maybe closer to Halloween I can’t imagine them not unless that tiny event was it. A regular mini event seems most likely, but who knows anymore? |

It's not just this forum. It seems like every forum I belong to is not getting the attention they once were. The most active one that I belonged to pretty much died when the most active poster passed earlier this year. Internet forums seem to be dying off in general.

I've been a member of another forum since the early 2000s and it's shifted owners and stuff over the years and it's closing soon. It's super sad. During peak times you could barely keep up with the chatter. Now it's almost a ghost town. A third forum I spend a lot of time with, one of the last big ones out there... it would take hours to go through the new posts on a slow day. Now there are just a few active threads per page instead of 3 pages of active threads. I think with this place and the one I've been with for 18 years is that the main gathering point has waned. If this game was still active, there'd be a lot more people and posts here. What is there to talk about when it's the same format every event? There isn't strategy or "I'm gonna visit your town at 7 and then you come to mine at 8 and we maximize points" kind of thing. Plus everyone seems to do the forum thing on reddit, which is not my favorite. As older people like me get busy being Adults, we post less often on this kind of place and the younger people aren't doing forums but reddit as a general rule. |

I’m 45, and I much prefer these php style forums for actual discussion of substance. More room to be directly to just a few people and about the cumbersome hordes on Reddit. That being said, I do quite like Reddit and Imgur, but I only use them for browsing photographs and images, not actual discussions. I agree there isn’t much strategy with our old TSTO...gone are the brief friend points systems, how to best max out the conform o meter, best bonuses and design ideas and contests. I am still keen on my city design, I am re-placing the last bit of my Christmas village now, and then my Entire Town Refurb will be done—I began when they released the complete map space, and I still have 180 lots covered. (I know that’s what is left because my Golden Goose stopped producing land tokens and told me I had enough to open it up) I have constant server disconnection issues, though.i dc 4-5 times a session, but I do tend to play around the reset time. I have 10600 items, and it’s telling me the limit is 10k, but I was sure it was more. Anyway, I am babbling now, so time for bed. Yay for new event tomorrow! |
