I can bring you guys some early news!
Coming May 30th is Itchy & Scratchy Land! Only other bit of news I can reveal is that it is an auto trigger update, no character is needed to start it.

Did EA add some sort of legal action for spoilers in there Terms of Service. Seems like everything is on the hush hush now EA reached out to Tapped Out fan sites and offered to send us information in advance if we sign a NDA. Of course, basically everyone accepted this. However, there is a catch. They want us releasing information as the event goes on. So we will release Act 1 information on May 30th then Act 2 and 3 when those acts start. Unfortunately this also means that the articles Wikisimpsons makes will be incomplete until Act 3 starts. And, another negative is we won't have the complete dates list with all characters etc. so people won't know if they want to save donuts to get a character that is released in a later act etc. We do plan on releasing everything the minute we can though and already have a lot of the main article ready to go.

I wonder what would have happened if you not accepted it. Also... When they “offered” to send that information in advance if you sign the NDA did they include that offer in that NDA or is it just an empty promise that can legally be violated with no accountability whatsoever because it’s not in the contract ?

I don't think I'm allowed to go into what's in the NDA without violating it, so I'm afraid I can't answer that. As for what would happen if we didn't accept, since they seem to be doing all this, I'm not sure but they may be planning on clamping down on server scans etc. to stop them. or if not yet they could do. Better to accept this than be without information.

I hope who ever signed the NDA told EA that 3 Acts of long, drawn out events sucks and the free land token thing was the stupidest idea they have ever had!

Who here thinks the way to get to Itchy and Scratchy Land will be by a helicopter you place like the KrustyLand bus?

Better to accept this than be without information. Did you read the NDA prior to agreeing to the same? It would depend on the type of contract/agreement (although not 100% sure how the law works with legal agreements in America) unless it specifies in the agreement that the terms and conditions of the agreement should not be disclosed to third parties. If not then the actual agreement itself technically you are free to discuss it ie - One of the terms in the NDA is that I have to wait a further week to provide you the further information, if I provide you with the information prior to this EA will sue the crap out of me/blast me into space before I hit the moon. Although saying that, I am not saying that you should share the terms of the agreement, as to be perfectly honest, I am not really that fussed. Are EA now trying to over-hype their repetitive, only ever use the same characters whilst selling over-priced stuff for dohnuts now? Quite a sneaky trick really "Something is coming in a couple of days, I can't tell you what it is as I am sworn to secrecy...but a brand new event coming in 2 days......." everyone gets over-excited........then it turns out to be the same crap we have had already? Although I don't know why I asked that as you probably can't tell me....on the plus side not long now to wait for it

Who here thinks the way to get to Itchy and Scratchy Land will be by a helicopter you place like the KrustyLand bus? Not to be overly optimistic, but I'm thinking they may give us the CHOICE of whether to place this stuff in Krustyland or keep it on the mainland. It would satisfy both the KL haters and those of us who are hoping to resuscitate it! (And that would keep more stuff OFF the mainland and out of our item count). I could totally see them doing the helicopter.

I LOVED using your site to budget my budget of donuts to make sure I can get all my most wanted items through the end of the entire event.....and then see what I can afford as extras above my main wants. Now I will hate not knowing if I "have" to buy item now or should wait for a cooler item in act 3......or know if I have enough donuts to buy all I want.

Now I will hate not knowing if I "have" to buy item now or should wait for a cooler item in act 3......or know if I have enough donuts to buy all I want. Correct me if I’m wrong but couldn’t you fix this problem by simply just wait until the last days of act 3 when all the donut-items are revealed and THEN make a decision as to what to buy and what not? This way you would have an entire overview over the whole donut-items that are available or are the donut-items for act 2 and 1 by the end of act 3 not available to purchase anymore?

mokkabee Yes and No but mostly....not all items always come up for second grabs at the end. Plus there are always items that give event currency which if I end up getting it, I would rather have at the beginning of the event so hopefully it would help with crafting more items I can't buy. And due to becoming a victim of today's insistent gratification expectations in all things in life, I don't want to wait for 9 weeks for something I could have had the first day, if I could have known what was in my budget from the start. I want it all NOW, I tell ya!!!!!!!!!!!

Okay, some updates:
1. The update has been delayed until 4pm GMT. 2. We will be able to post everything we know at that time too. Because we get our information from a source other than EA representatives, we can post all that as it's not covered by the NDA. They don't want to stop us from doing anything. Just want to provide us with information early. This means we can post act 2 and 3 content as soon as the event starts too. Along with dates, donuts etc.

I was super confused. I thought I did my timezone conversions wrong when I opened my game and it was the same.
So for us EDT people, that should be in just over an hour.

I never signed an NDA as I’ve been retired for a year. But maybe I should come out of retirement, my custom DLC server for my own personal use already has all the files for this update so far.

I noticed this when I browsed your site late morning today. Thanks to you I have am trusty spreadsheet calculating not only how much I want to spend between the event / 4th of July / Mystery Boxes / etc.... but also projects my daily farming averages so I can budget wisely to get my "Must Haves" and wan't be disappointed if I can't get the remaining. I hate buyer's remorse....and now I don't have to worry about that.

My point to why I think everyone else signing the NDA didn’t consider what they were actually doing. Yeah it may be easier to know the information upfront but knowing that information is worth your entire life savings in fines if you tell anyone anything is not an ideal situation to be in either

Yeah, I’ve signed NDAs when testing televisions and television software and cable boxes and software and all that kind of stuff, so a lot stricter NDAs too, but I couldn’t even disclose what I was testing or anything to even my family and friends due to competition and if features are pulled, the company would get moaned at for lying, just for someone telling something that somehow “gets out”.
That’s why I will never sign another NDA or get information or test anything that the only people I can talk about it to, are other testers, and that is boring.
I obviously broke many NDAs but I had friends I could trust, but then when some features I spoke about never happened, I just felt like a fool and that I was making it all up.
But hey, if I do come out of retirement, I won’t be signing an NDA and if I release all the information, even if some of it is known before hand due to those in the know with the NDAs.
I mean, come one, I’m actually part of the reason EA stopped releasing the files months before an update actually happened. When the game first came out and people were speculating about what was going to come next, he first ever THOH, and some Level stuff when they used to do Levels instead of money making events.
So again, it’s be foolish for me to sign an NDA due to myself being the cause of all this secrecy (and others that followed me) in the first place, haha.
Like I said my custom DLC is still active for my personal use that always checks EAs servers for the latest DLC every 10 minutes, and emails me when there are new files, and extracts and converts them automatically, so I could have released the information for this update, before the app updates arrived etc. But I no longer have my other sites for Tapped Out online as I simply did not renew the domains, and I couldn’t put it up on my DLC server, for obvious reasons.
