I’ve hit the item limit, again.
I sacrificed my heights first. It’s now an empty dumping ground for character buildings that I don’t like enough to put in my main town.
I then sacrifised squid port. Put all items on some planks in the corner.
What the hell next? I love my town too much to start hacking at bits of it 💔💔... but any ideas are welcome!

Hi Neighbor! Kymie, I can hardly believe you’re at the item limit! I’m always hovering just below the limit (and I do mean JUST), and my town is stuffed to the gills. But your town doesn’t seem cluttered at all. Really lovely, open, airy and fun, beautifully laid out and organized. And a lot of attention to detail. But if you’re truly at the limit (still can’t believe it), maybe you could pare down some of the attention to detail? Particularly the tiniest decorations like light posts, parking meters, and trash cans, but also parking spaces, benches, etc. (I have almost no parking spaces in my town. I insisted on underground parking. Besides, the people of Springfield seem to prefer to travel on foot!). And then there are the hedges. I love how they organize and tie together your whole town. But I’ll bet they’re half your item count! You could probably use trees much the same way, but spaced out a bit. I know these ideas mess with your overall design gestalt, but you did ask for ideas! One other random thought ... is the item count tied in with how much land we have? If it is, do you have all the land? Just wondering. Well I hope you keep playing and figure out a solution for managing your count. Whatever you do, don’t nuke!  |

The limit goes up every time there's land added maybe wait it out? Are u really at the last limit or are u just getting warnings that your getting close?

Thanks for your kind words bluestem.... but yes I’m unfortunately at my limit and those darn hedges are the exact reason! 🤦🏻♀️ I’m such a clean freak when it come to designing so I feel like everything needs it’s own little space! But I’ve gone round and took over 500 hedges away! 😵 and I’m actually starting to decorate my heights again. I’m cutting decos out slowly but surely.
Parking spaces are a huge thing to me, I cannot cut them out 😅 they tie in with a building for me, along with hedges. Every day I’m scanning over bits and trying to cut out more and more.
I’m not sure about the item increase coming with land... I’ve got so much land left unlocked but I don’t want to unlock it unless I can fill it 😂 and I can’t unlock the edges cause I simply cannot be bothered to move all the forest at the edge. I’m sure I will once I get truly bored enough!
Nuking would NEVER be an option for me... years of blood sweat and tears are in that town.... the exact reason I’ll also never quit 😁 breaks yes, quit never! 💗💗

Oh my goodness, you have such pretty open road spaces! Thank you very much. I have severe OCD when it comes to this game 😅 I’m forever changing and moving things though. Although I’m very happy with how it is now. I’ve cut out over 1000 decorations and added my heights and squid port back in! Horrayyyy |
