#51 Alien is on sale... something like 100 donuts with 90 rebate. Yes, that is correct. Net 10 donut cost. A real steal if you don't have him/it. I'm assuming it was an error on EA's part; no clue if it's been fixed. I snagged him for that bargain basement price.

It's just a blah event for a lot of people: three out-of-town buildings, a marijuana plant task for Quimby, and a new polarizing character. Everything else costs donuts. I guess it's good for the people who missed the Stonecutters the first three times.

Other than 10-donut alien, I don't like this event. It's not hard or tedious or anything, but the content is not entertaining. I don't care if they're making fun of both sides, I'm not finding politics very funny at the moment. The game is one of my refuges. All I do now is skip through the dialog. I can make fun of my politics normally and find the jabs at characters like me in the show and the game funny usually, but just not now. Or maybe it's not me and it's just not funny this time. Sometimes the dialog in the game is clunky and maybe it's one of those times.

Man, these mini events really need to be longer. I was done Sunday, just looked, and there's nearly 8 days left! Bah. I know they are geared for everyone, long term and short, but they should figure a way for those who have all the characters and will buy all the new ones to still have something to do. Maybe bonus decorations or something? Dunno. But they regularly set them up for 2 weeks and they take 5 days. I know we used to wait ages between events but they've taught me to be impatient now  |
