It looks like it's an episode tie-in to the season premiere. There's a free Smelling Tower and a grove with a tree character for 60 donuts.

Fun both of them. The walking tree is hilarious!

I’m going round and round on the monorail track/bonut earnings ride. Guess swapping that from weekly quest was part of the update.
Wheeeee

Might not have been paying attention. We used to be able to do a cycle of monorail track piece grind (recycling junk) once a week. One piece, two pieces ... five pieces + five donuts. In the past we had only one cycle per week, so it’d grey out until the next Tuesday once through the final level with donuts. This week the cycle immediately restarts. Not sure the task name. It’s the blueprints icon in the menu that comes up from the top right of the screen.

Ooh that's cool. Gave up monorail grinding ages ago.

Nope, it just won't let me start the loop again..... Must be because I got all the stations and stuff ages ago......

I have also been able to do the monorail track cycle twice this week already. So a glitch I'm guessing?

I just couldn't find a satisfying way to implement the monorail into my town

I don't think it was a glitch, I remember something being said about double blueprints until 2 October which I initially thought, oh nice, however I then remembered that I had nearly finished the weekly run of track collection, upon completion the course started again. Currently on my 3rd run now and nearly finished (I think). I think because of finally getting another station (something I have wanted for ages) they have given double blueprints for a limited time and allowing as much collections as possible. I could be wrong, that's just my assumption

Anyone else think EA are being generous with the doughnuts at the mo? The monorail round is going well, and some of my daily tasks have had a 6 doughnut reward. Plus only 3 tasks for a 3 doughnut bonus.

I just couldn't find a satisfying way to implement the monorail into my town I've been waiting for a new station so I could put it in Springfield Heights. With that in place, I finally had a reason to put in the mountain tunnels. I was happy. Then I tried to connect it to my existing monorail. And it wouldn't connect. I am one square off from the mountain to the ones in Springfield. Unless I redo all of my Springfield - and some might not even fit - I cannot connect it. Nothing I have tried works. Any ideas? And yes, I tried the squiggly track pieces - they shift over two squares.

This problem was discovered when EA gave us the tunnels. Such horrible planning by them.

There are 2 easy solutions: - make some 1, 3 or 5 square long tracks - make a second skin for the tunnels where the connection to the track is shifted by 1 square

After fiddling with various track configurations and shuffling a few decorations out of the way I eventually managed it. Took a while and does depend on of you have anything besides the monorail that you can shift.

Took a while and does depend on of you have anything besides the monorail that you can shift. You can fix the monorail being off problem by moving the last station over one square. If the station is off by one square, that will translate all the way through your design and ultimately not line up to complete your loop.

My railyard didn't reset as usual on a Tuesday. I'm in the middle of the prize track and can continue without to start at 0 blueprints. Wonder what happens when I reach the 25.000 blueprints. Can I start again or wait a week?

After receiving the 5 donuts I am able to get blueprints again. It seems we are now no more restricted to one round of making monorail tracks a week.

There are 2 easy solutions: - make some 1, 3 or 5 square long tracks - make a second skin for the tunnels where the connection to the track is shifted by 1 square I have tried a lot of these with no luck. In fact, the tunnels are very restrictive in where I place them for some reason. It seems the only way is to shift everything, which I'm not ready to do yet. It took enough effort to get the track system I have.
