 I decided to put the Ice Palace in the middle of Lake Springfield (also the only place it would fit!). I hope when spring comes the melting ice doesn't flood the town! "Spring" has sprung, and the town is safe!!!!!  [/IMG] |

You know, I was thinking about it, and you know what would be great? If they decide to melt the ice palace, but do it in stages..... Like the spring update have it half melted, and the tall towers are kinda tilted, but still partially frozen, then the summer update for 4th of July it's a puddle....That'd be both creative and awesome...

 I know it isn't much but here it is. Looking forward to seeing how others turn out after the thaw Ok I here is my "thawed" pic. Not everyone showed up for the picture but I had a good turn out. Bart and his elephant kept getting in the way of a lot of them but I hope I chose the best one  |

Homer nearly used all the snow in his garden, to build the Simpson Family snowmen. So he build at night the new snowmen in Flanders garden.   As the hindus have no temple in Springfield they spent some rent for the buddhis Temple. So they can use it once a week, and have their Shiva-Ice- God in front of the temple in the winter month.   Homer try to build the last snowmen while Lisa is making her last snowangel in the snow slush. Meanwhile Flanders is wondering, why there are old clothes in his garden.  All that the Hindus now can do is mourning there melted snow god.   |

Here is my new "North Pole" after the passing of a tragically short but intensive winter. All remaining elf corpses, bells, jars, and sprockets are being incinerated in the Tire Fire and Nuclear Plant.
I have to say....DAMN, those Ice Fences are UGLY in the springtime. Just when I thought I had everything settled decoration-wise, now I have to re-do it with real trees.
And given that we are well past Christmas and New Years, I have also replaced the pretty real-life Christmas tree with something equally pretty.

Question.... In this contest/event it was said that you cannot change the actual area or redesign it until after a "melted" pic has been uploaded. What about the extreme close area surrounding the original? I was hoping to have most of my towns people show up for picture day. I already have a bunch of them gathering around said area. Just wanted to be sure so I don't exclude myself or get disqualified due to a small discrepancy of surrounding areas?

Don't worry about that, they just mean the frozen area that is the focus of the picture can't be changed until you capture the melted image. |
