Slowbro,
This morning I found a handshake at my Open air podium, we still don't have on the list. The podium is similar to Channel 6: doesn't do anything. As the friend has to start a new performance it's not a good item to tap.

Thank you r1c4. Neat, I didn't know the stage could be tapped. As for Channel 6, I think once recently I got double pay for a weather broadcast with a handshake. If that's true, then if used perfectly Channel 6 might work really well to make extra money (initiate Regular Programming ... wait 16 hours ... let a friend tap it ... wait another 16 hours ... big money if I'm right). But it would be very hard to take advantage of that well.

Especially with the smaller programs. About the stage I'm sure, I tapped the handshake and Skinner and his mom left, they didn't start their show again.

I prefer to have my buildings graffitied and mid-payout time (2-8 hour regeneration) buildings tapped. I am frequently on the game during the day, but lam off for about 8 - 10 hours at night. I like to wake up to sme of buildings regenerating and those are usually the items in that time frame collection. [.......] Hi fellow students of the intelligent tapping course. Before I used to tap on the most expensive buildings but this post gave me some other thought about it. I realized that in many towns I was the one tapping the prison, hospital and Volcano lair, every day. According the friend list, all neighbors log in at least once a day, so they also can tap these stuff themselves daily. Now I aim, apart of airbrushing, at the 4-6 hours paid out because these are more likely to give them an extra pay out. But I still tap the 16 hours because of their irregularity in a 24 hour schedule. itchyscratchy

But it would be very hard to take advantage of that well. I had to test this since I have two towns. I did the weather report in 1. And for laughs, sent Lisa to do her solo. An hour later I visited from my second town, and tapped both. Plus a mop on my school. A bit over an hour later I signed into the town. Channel 6 and Lisa both paid me what I expected after an hour task. And the school had no graffiti. And I think either Duder or rsommons posted something that said graffitiing a building decreases your friends righteous more than they get back by cleaning it later.

Much thanks for the recent help Karin and A Bad Example! I agree totally that tapping mid-length buildings can be a great plan. And if you can get a 16-hour building to pay out twice in a day for someone, that's great too. I was sure I saw double pay on a weather broadcast, but I trust A Bad Example's observation skills over mine, lol, so I probably didn't. There could've been a recent small change to the game, but I doubt that; I was probably just wrong, like maybe I thought the normal pay was 200 lol. And as far as the graffiti, I've seen graffiti mysteriously disappear in my town from one visit to another, so mopping it in a friend's town may well remove it. I don't want to spread false information (again). I really appreciate the help. When I get the opportunity I plan to try to verify the new Channel 6 finding, but I don't expect double pay. I've been trying to keep the first post updated.

slowbro, you may not have been wrong. The Squidport update did more than just give us a whole new area of play. It also addressed some issues in the game. Double payouts on player initiated tasks might have been one of them. I generally use the 16 and 24 hour tasks, if I remember to start it. Unless there is a quest line of some kind, so i would notice any oddness. With a short task. I am generally a once a day player.

Did anyone mention "Whack the Leprechaun"? HA! Bye leprechaun, but I doubt I'll have any trouble finding you again if I want to. I had never tried hitting the leprechaun. I also like the results when I tap Santa's Little Helper, or the helmet snake.

(bold because it's important, and possibly a change with the Squidport update ...) I've been watching carefully when I tap handshaked ordinary buildings today, and it appears they are never actually paying out double all at once. The timer does start out part way to the next payout after I tap a handshake though.I'm not even 100% sure the buildings ever paid out double! And that was the central point of my guide! Does anyone happen to know for sure whether they did? edit: Usually when I visit other towns I don't spraypaint graffiti, I just vandalize buildings. I hope someone reads that not knowing I'm talking about a video game. But today I did some spraypainting for the sake of experimentation. Cleaning up friends' graffiti definitely raises my Righteousness. Three mops in one friend's town raised me from two stars to five! I don't know if that would always happen. I didn't determine whether spraying graffiti affects Righteousness. I didn't determine what if anything happens to the friend's Righteousness of course. Aaah! The cops are at the door!

Spray painting raises righteousness, but not a lot. Cleaning raises it a lot. I've got about 20 abandoned towns that are neighbors. I'm probably the only visitor to most. One day I spray paint. The next I mop. And I only need to do it every 7-10 days, so the rest of the time I can look at the interesting towns.

I try to just graffiti my friends towns, and only click on buildings if I must. I figure everyone likes to have a little cash and the bump in righteousness from cleaning up. Thanks for the helppppppppp

What abot the "Cool Hipster House"? I think it pays out 2XP and $16, but I don't know the regeneration time.

The Cool Brown House is 4 hours.
But I don't think tapping a building resets the timer anymore.
3 days in a row I have tapped the brown houses in one of my towns from another. And then gone into the other town. After collecting from all the brown houses, I check the time until next tax is available. Its essentially the same, although the ones I tapped as a "friend" should be much shorter.

Not sure about the house of evil; but I think the other 2 are 8 hrs.
If you have them in your town, you can tap them to see the generation time.

I just went to the Wiki and prayed they were right. The nerd in me made a table in Google Drive of the buildings for my own reference. Also, I apologize, the Post Office was on the list.
