 Hey Everybody! This is a painting I made to express my feelings when EA placed the item cap on our towns for Whacking Day. It was heart wrenching to see so many artistic towns torn down. The limit also put a damper on art submissions to the Springfield Palace of Fine Arts. Thank goodness that is behind us and we can all get back to creating again! To celebrate our renewed artistic freedom, we are holding an art contest for a real-life prize! We were lucky enough to recover a set of Simpsons Trading Cards made by Inkworks in 2000 to give away to our top resident artist. The set isn’t quite complete because of the nuclear explosion, but it’s all about the art, and the art on the cards is quite beautiful. We’re also launching a brand new award. Yes! All artists who submit their creations to the Springfield Palace of Fine Arts will now receive a beautiful rendering of Michelangelo’s David to wear as a badge of honor!  The best part is, you can submit art that your neighbors have created as well (but please do get their permission first). As long as they’re a forum member, we will award them for their creativity. We have such a talented community; I can’t wait to see all the submissions! XOXO, Lisa CONTEST RULES:- Artwork for the contest can be submitted to the Springfield Palace of Fine Arts thread up through Friday, May 31, 11:59pm (PDT). Any artwork submitted after the deadline will not be eligible for the contest, but the creator will still receive a David award.
- The only approved medium for this contest are the decorations found in the TSTO game.
- Artwork must be new and original. Artwork already displayed in the museum prior to the contest is not eligible for the contest, although the creator will still receive a David award.
- We are looking for art and not architecture. Think along the lines of portraits rather than structures.
- Please keep submissions tasteful. Any art that is deemed inappropriate by forum staff will be disqualified and rejected.
- Submissions should show some degree of effort. We're sorry but making text with bushes/flowers does not count.
- On the off chance we receive duplicate submissions, the first post will be considered authentic and the latter a forgery and therefore disqualified.
- Forum staff will pick the top three submissions and put them up for the community to pick a winner.

This is a cool idea, but I am also waiting to make sure there is no mystery cap lurking with the end of Whacking Day before I try new things.

This is why all I've done is store stuff. I only read minds in days ending in Y. I have some ideas, I'm just waiting like a crouched puma, or languishing sloth, could be either really. I also need more land in order to create some of the ideas I have in my head. |

As museum curator, I would like to point out this is the Springfield Palace of Fine Arts. Submissions should fit along those lines. I'm afraid pictures of words are more for the MOMA which we don't have. Sorry to put a damper on things, but it's a challenge! Do you want the David award or not?
