There are some incredibly talented people on our forum. Please do a favor for those that have posted here: check out their Homer Shake videos, slide shows, and gifs! We think you will be impressed. Photo Challenge: Homer Shakeends Sunday 03/17/2013 midnight EST
winner announced Monday 03/18/2013Everybody do the Homer Shake! Look at us with a timely photo challenge! We are looking for your best interpretation of the Homer Shake! For this challenge you must submit 3 photos with a common background. Please enter them ALL ON ONE POST (use that edit feature people!). However, you do not need to submit them all at one time, there is no first poster bonus on this challege. Also, no need for lengthy explanations on this challenge, let your pictures speak for themselves. PICTURES: 1st - JUST The Simpsons - they must be off task, except for Marge walking Maggie 2nd - JUST The Simpsons - on task, Marge can change tasks for this picture 3rd - The Simpsons and ALL of Springfield - as many on task as possible POINTS Scoring is for 3rd picture only, characters MUST BE VISIBLE TO SCORE. 3 points - per character. No points for non-playables (Maggie, Octuplets, Funzos, SLH, Leprechaun, etc) BONUS2 points - per character in costume, or with prop JUDGES POINTSTo be issued at judges descretion 10 points - for catching Marge in a jig. CAUTION: If the money/XP blocks your other characters, you may not get points for them. Characters must be visible for points to count.10 points - for the picture with the most visible, least overlapped, characters. 15 points - to the best overall visually EXTRA CREDITFeeling creative? Earn extra credit! 50 points - Post a video or slide show of your Homer Shake, with music. Quick question before I go taking photos (I'll update this post), are we allowed to use costumes in the photos with only The Simpsons?

In the second photo, but not the first. 1st photo they are suppose to be wondering around doing nothing (except Marge who will be walking Maggie) and on the second photo shenanigans ensue and you can have them doing or wearing whatever. Third photo is suppose to be the whole town. Did that help?  Edit; I also want to point out that Marge's jig photo will only count on the third photo, so if you get it in the second it won't count for points. |

@pcc: I assume "common background" doesn't stop me from zooming out from my first two shots?? That is definitely allowed... just keep the building(s) from the first two shots within the frame of the final shot. |

First time doing a photo challenge. I completely underestimated the difficulty of these. But sure here it goes: Simpsons just chilling  Getting a little crazier  !!!! Ok here's mine (first video one  ). Originally I wanted to try and screen record it, but since I don't have an iPad and don't want to jailbreak I did a slideshow instead Like Stu said, these are really difficult to make, and toke a load of patience. Props to the people who enter every photo challenge, I had to completely dig up all the roads in my town, change building layouts, and took a lot of screenshots to try and get the perfect one with the most characters visible. In all, 3 days of tough work. POINTS

I simply took a lot of screenshots, approx 3-4 for each character ... then put them all in a lot of layers using photoshop. Next step was to set a number of frames for the animation and choose what layers to be active for each frame... Marge didn't end up as well as I was hoping for so I had to remove most of her 'jig', ending up with only two "marge frames". I probably should slow the animation down a bit, but this was my first attempt... |
